PDF manual of the law department on the intranet site

I recently reviewed – and admired – the online Law Department Manual of a major manufacturing company. Posted on the department’s intranet site in PDF format, the Manual gathers such useful information as procedures for retaining counsel, position descriptions, personnel policies, mission and strategy statements, and various practice guides. The document is well organized with a detailed table of contents.

Most law departments can collect their key forms and ways of working, compile them in a manual, and distribute them in PDF through their intranet site. Doing so makes updating much easier.b
