At the recent conference hosted by Georgetown Law School on the future of law firms, Lisa DiMonte of MyLegal.com, in conjunction with Greg Bufithis’s Posse List, interviewed me about some of lisa.dimonte@mylegal.commy thoughts on the conference. Here’s a link to the video interview http://bit.ly/cj9xid (See my post of Feb. 3, 2009: my first appearance on YouTube; and Feb. 6, 2009: back by popular demand.). Engaging, but Susan Boyle it is not.

This week I am sending out my first newsletter to subscribers, and if you would like to receive it, please register through the box upper right.

The newsletter is going to several hundred readers and it has interesting material that I have not written about on this blog. Basically, I determined the ten posts that were most frequently viewed through an RSS feed during the past month or so. I then added some thoughts about each of those posts.

Sign up, and let me know what you think of the monthly newsletter. Ambitious plans are afoot for how to improve it.

During the past 12 months seven articles written by me were published. One or more of them might interest you, so here I have assembled them and the posts that first announced them.

  1. Three major benefits and concerns about sending legal work offshore (See my post of May 3, 2009: advantages and disadvantages of outsourcing.).

  2. What incumbent law firms bring to the table as well as the crumbs they produce (See my post of June 14, 2009: entrenched counsel and their effects.).

Whenever appropriate, I add a link to a post to a metapost, a collection of six or more posts on a topic. The metapost gives a thumbnail description of each of the prior posts as well as the date of the post so a reader can find the earlier one in the archive. Here is an example (See my post of Sept. 25, 2008: this blog and posts about it, with 41 references.).

I have compiled more than 420 metaposts. They are all available in alphabetical order on my website. So, have at it and I am sure you will find some topic that interests you.

Or, if you can’t find what you want, send me an email and I will see what I can do.

On Tuesday, February 3rd, I will attend the Bloggers Breakfast that starts at 9AM, sponsored by ALM in the Petite Trianon. The Breakfast (a three-year tradition) gives bloggers and others a chance to shake hands and chat and it would be great to say hello to any of my readers. Email me if you think you might come so I can be on the lookout for you.

You can spot me because I look very much like the photo, upper left.
