Associations of European in-house lawyers

A recent article in Legalweek.com, May 25, 2006 (Ed Thornton) covers a conference in Europe. It mentions the Association of Corporate Counsel Europe, whose president is Stephen Faciszewski, and the European Company Lawyers’ Association (ECLA). There is also the European Legal Officers Roundtable – another group for GCs. Legal Week, Vol. 7, Nov. 10, 2005 at 62 refers to this group, which is headed by Hans Peter Frick of Nestle. Europe also has the In-House Lawyers’ Association (IHLA), chaired by Anthony Armitage (See my post of Sept. 27, 2005 about its split from the Law Society’s Commerce & Industry Group) and the CLO Programme.

A crowded field of affinity groups over there.
