ARMA and its Risk Profiler Self-Assessment for E-Discovery

This tool developed by e-discovery firm LECG and promoted by ARMA International, is advertised as help for legal counsel to “determine their readiness for e-discovery and the associated risks.” It is an online, secure tool – powered by NetDiligence – that guides users through a series of potential risk areas. Having done so, the tool highlights the strengths and weaknesses of the company’s information management systems.

I have not visited the site. This summary comes from a promotional release, but it interested me as yet another way that law department attorneys can learn about better management techniques. Given the role of consulting firm LECG, I suspect that most users will find that they have deficiencies.
