Wiki-Law’s mission is to create a free, complete, up-to-date, and reliable world-wide legal guide and resource. Thus wrote Aaron Wright, a co-founder, in an e-mail to me. Its mission is to become the Wikipedia of the legal world.
Attorney’s can contribute to Wiki-Law in a variety of ways. They can:
* submit a profile of their Law Firm [What about law departments, Aaron?]
* submit a profile of a Law School
* Add to a legal dictionary
* Add case briefs
* Add legal forms
* Write and set up their own blogs
The way this wiki works is that a contributor submits an article or a link. Other users can vote and comment on it. Those items with the most votes and the most comments are sorted to the front page of the website, meaning that more people will read them or click the link. The wisdom of the crowd at work on the wiki of the lawyers.
