Citations on this blog to the seven global law firms with the most revenue in 2007

Legal Business, July/Aug. 2007 at 44, lists the Global 50, the largest law firms in the world by 2007 turnover (revenue). To reach this golden level it takes a village of law departments paying generous fees, so I wondered how often the top five have showed up in this blog’s 2,815 posts. Now, calm down all you readers clamoring to open the envelope! Your host does not tease, he delivers the goods, in declining order of turnover:

1. Clifford Chance – 4 posts (See my post of June 18, 2007 with references to them.).

2. Linklaters – 2 posts (See my post of June 18, 2007 with references to them.).

3. Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer – 2 posts (See my post of June 18, 2007 with references to them.).

4. Skadden Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom – one post (See my post of Jan. 3, 2007 about its major presence in France.).

5. DLA Piper – 3 posts (See my posts of April, 27, 2006 regarding contract automation; May 23, 2007 on sharing associates with Accenture; and June 18, 2007 on its win of work for Linde.).

6. Allen & Overy – 5 posts (See my post of June 18, 2007 with references to them.).

7. Latham & Watkins – one post (See my post of Jan. 3, 2007 about its large office in France.).

The paucity of mentions, there being only 18 scattered among 2,800 posts, suggests that I, at least, haven’t picked up much from these firms that suggests improvements they have brought about in the arena of law department management.
